Due to the European Union´s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we are obligated to obide by the EU´s rules when processing your data and disclose how we use your data. Our data privacy statement, shown below, gives more detail on this.

Categories of personal data, its collection, storage and the way the data is processed and why

During the certification process, we (SC@PE International) are collecting the following data from you:

• Name
• address
• Scope of the certification, in accordance with the certification system
• Type of product
• Size of the company
• Quantitative data in accordance with the certification system
• Company specific process and product information

This data will be used exclusively as part of the certification process and will be stored on internal servers. We do not collect any data that is not required for the certification process. In this we are applying article 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation.

Transmission of data to third parties

A transmission of the collected data to third parties is only done when required as part of the certification process.

In particular, your data will be forwarded to some of the following entities:

• European Commission
• German Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food
• REDcert GmbH
• SURE (SUSTAINABLE RESOURCES Verification Scheme GmbH)

Revocation of the consent to the use of data

The use of your data is only possible with your explicit permission. You may withdraw the consent to the use of your data at any time. This is possible via an informal notification via e-mail. Any processing of the data before your withdrawn consent is not affected by the withdrawal. Consent may not be withdrawn retroactively.

The right to complains to the relevant oversight authority

As a concerned party you have the right to complain to the relevant oversight authority in case of suspected breach of data protection regulations. The relevant oversight authority for questions regarding data protection is the state data protection commissioner  of the German state, in which the main offices of the certification body is located (in this case the state data protection commissioner  of Lower-Saxony). The Right to data portability

You have the right to request the transfer of the data we collected from you to either yourself or to third parties. The transfer will be processed using a machine-readable format. If you request the transfer of your data to another responsible entity, this will be done only if it is technically possible.

Right to disclosure, correction, blocking and deletion

At any time, within the legal framework, you have the right to disclosure of information regarding your saved personal data, such as their origin, the recipient and the purpose of the data processing. Under specific circumstances you may also have the right to request the correction, blocking and deletion of your data. To find out more about this, you may contact our data protection officer (named below) at any time.

SSL- / TLS-encoding

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you are sending us, we are using SSL/TLS-encoding, so that transmitted data is not readable for third parties.
